maydaygardentbworkMayDay Rooms is an educational charity founded as a safe haven for historical material linked to social movements, experimental culture and the radical expression of marginalised figures and groups.  The Fleet Street premises is spread over four floors of arts and crafts building with splendid roof garden, adjacent to Bridewell Church. They provide managed access to this material so can be explored and re-examined, to activate its potential in relation to current struggles and informal research.

maydaygardenownSPC set up a building-wide LAN and WLAN [2|3|4|5] network which hosts a range of process specific services in support of the archive collections. Video records are stored and annotated using an instance of Pan.do/ra.  Leaflets, posters and books are scanned and photographed using custom Memory of the World plugs -ins for Calibre, the ebook management software and published in a unique catalogue.
