Now known as New Cross Learning the space is run on a voluntary basis and open 4 days a week. There is a book shop and book donations are sorted and sometimes sold to raise much needed funding to keep the place open.
The 14 fast computer workstations are very popular with library users. Broadband connectivity was recently upgraded to keep up with demand and the centre will soon begin regular training sessions.
The basement area is home to a community collection of domestic artifacts given by local people. School children can visit and experience for themselves the washboards, cassette recorders, coal skittles and sewing machines.. it’s a huge collection.
